Armored Arbor
Deep in an overgrown forest, vines and stems twist together into humanoid silhouettes. Armored arbors are plantoid soldiers that wield bark shields and thorny blades, obeying the command of whoever raised them from the ground.
From Seed to Soldier. Armored arbors begin their life cycle as small seeds which are planted in the ground and watered. Once the arbor sprouts from the ground and grows its humanoid tendrils, it pulls its roots from the earth and begins its mobile life. The sprout will continue to grow larger and stronger until it weaves itself into a mess of vines and other plant matter.
Primitive and Steadfast. These creatures are capable of primitive thought, and in the wild will form societies that live and protect one another. They have a strong sense of kinship, clinging to whoever raised them as their family. For those lucky enough to get their hands on armored arbor seeds, this means one could grow a small army for themselves.
Unknown Origin. No one knows for sure where the first seeds for these soldiers came from. It has been speculated that these creatures started as the legacy of some powerful druid. Others believe the arbors were created by the gods themselves.
